Halloween

The holiday Halloween seems like such a stupid holiday. Really why do we celebrate it and what is the meaning behind it. The holidays Thanksgiving and Christmas have a defenent meaning and reason why we celebrate them. But where does Halloween come from. People dress up like something they are not and then go around collecting candy. It just sounds like greed to me. There isn't any real reason why we celebrate it. It seems more these days that people are celebrating Halloween by in a way celebrating evil spirits. People go to see movies that have all these dead evil spirits. It just doesn't seem right to me. In Mexico and other Hispanic countries Halloween is called the day of the dead. There they celebrate those that have passed on. The eat meals at the graves, and sing and dance. To them it is not about witches and evil spirits. It is about remembering those who have died. So why do Americans think Halloween is this holiday to dress up as witches, and goblins. It really doesn't make any sense. And I think it is a stupid holiday, and the true meaning(what ever it was) has been twisted into something that it is not.

You make me smile. You are always so blunt and honest in your blogs and it make me laugh. I was thinking though (as I thought and thought and thought and still can't come up with something to write my blog about,): What if I run out of things to say by the end of the year! Imagine that! Lindsay, not having something to say! =D See ya later!
